Drapery Brackets & Holders
Drapery brackets and holders are a very important part in hanging your draperies correctly. You need to make sure you choose the correct sized brackets and holders for your drapery rods, as well as choosing brackets that are strong enough to hold the weight of your drapes. Our drape brackets come in a variety of sizes, styles and colors to match all types of interior decor.
- How to Install Drapery Brackets
- 1. First mark where each drapery rod bracket will go. Space the brackets apart equally based on the width of the area, in order to support the center of the drapery rod. It may be wise to use a level in order to make sure your rod will hang straight.
- 2. Use drywall anchors to make sure you have a strong base for your brackets. Use a drill to make a small hole in the area you want the dry anchor screw to go and then drill it into the wall. This is extremely important if you want to hang a double drapery rod or a heavy iron drapery rod. Attach the brackets with screws using a power drill. Make sure all drapery hardware is sturdy enough to support the drapery rod.
- 3. Hang drapes. Slide your drapery panel(s) onto the drapery rod and insert the rod into the mounting brackets and holders. Tighten the small screw which may or may not be located on the bracket, until the drapery rod remains still. Practice opening and closing your drapes in order to insure functionality and stability.
